The xTool MetalFab 1200W is an advanced laser welder that combines three processes in one device: welding, metal cutting and surface cleaning (including rust removal). You can also combine it with the included CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) cutter, which provides even more capabilities. With 1200 watts of power, the device guarantees fast and precise results, and its intuitive operation makes it suitable for professional workshops and hobbyists alike.

The xTool MetalFab laser welder combines welding, cutting and cleaning functions in one machine, and when combined with a CNC cutting machine, it also offers CNC cutting and cleaning capabilities. The system supports continuous, spot and pulse welding, enabling precise process control for a variety of applications – from working on delicate jewelry components to robust industrial structures.

Industrial technology

MetalFab uses industrial-grade Coherent chips that efficiently convert electrical energy into a powerful laser beam of 1,200 watts with a wavelength of 1080 nm. Thanks to the technology, the device provides stable and precise cutting and welding. The system handles thicknesses from 0.2 mm to 5 mm and is suitable for a variety of metal materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, brass and aluminum.

Fiber laser technology minimizes heat-affected zones to ≤ 0.05 mm, enabling precise welding of thin metals without distortion. The high power output ensures fast metal melting, and the solution produces deep and narrow welds regardless of material or joint type, ensuring consistent and reliable quality.

Smooth, clean and flawless cutting

The 1200 W high-energy fiber laser easily cuts through carbon steel up to 10 mm thick in a single pass. With a minimal heat-affected zone and high power, it delivers precise cutting results, providing smooth, clean surfaces without deforming thin metals and reducing the need for additional finishing.

The secret to precision cutting lies in the technologies used, which work together to ensure maximum accuracy. VibeFreeCut™ integrates advanced motion control algorithms with system recognition technology to eliminate vibration in real time. FlexiTrack™ continuously checks the distance between the laser head and the metal surface in real time, automatically adjusting the Z-axis. And ObstacleFree™ has a special obstacle avoidance algorithm to ensure continuous operation and equipment safety.

Laser technology enables fast, precise work, minimizing defects and reducing rework. The system achieves cutting speeds of 15.75 ips (inches per second, inches per second) and is up to eight times faster than TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding. Dual cameras – smart vision, precise cutting

With a 16 MP panoramic camera and AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithms, the system automatically analyzes materials and creates optimal cutting layouts – just a click away! As a result, the material utilization rate reaches up to 98.7%. Forget about wasting plastic! In addition, the close-range camera provides precise positioning with a center deviation of less than 0.2mm, ensuring exceptional accuracy. Such a solution is ideal even for small objects.

The available software offers one-click parameter configuration, without the need to test materials. You don’t have to waste time anymore – just select the right material and quickly get the optimal settings. In addition, Smart Flow Cutting mode connects line segments in the same direction for continuous cutting, minimizing unnecessary movements and increasing productivity by up to 50%. Also try the AImake function, which creates ready-to-use patterns based on prompts in just seconds.

Convenient touch control

An 8-inch touchscreen with an intuitive interface makes it easy to operate the welder. It offers 108 ready-to-use material parameters and allows you to easily switch between three welding modes. You can also use it to fine-tune and save custom settings.

The xTool MetalFab is certified by CE (Conformité Européenne, the European Union’s mark of conformity), FCC (Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. Communications Commission) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration), meeting stringent quality standards. The system is also equipped with 10 safety features, including an emergency stop button, 3-zone real-time temperature monitoring, lid and drawer closure detection, exhaust fan detection, and an OD5+ (Optical Density 5+ light filter to protect against laser radiation) light filter cover, among others.
